#3 – Steak with Rice, Teriyaki Sauce and Steamed Vegetables
On the third day, and presumably during dinner, you should prepare steak with rice, Teriyaki sauce and steamed vegetables for your partner. This is a finger-licking recipe, with which you will achieve your goal of impressing your partner. Slice the meat and the veggies earlier, and start by cooking the rice. This recipe will take not more than 30-40 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. top sirloin
- 4 med. Carrots
- 3 med. Zucchini
- 1/3 c. (about) vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. Oriental Stir-Fry Mix
- 3 c. hot cooked rice
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced (garnish)
Method:
- Cut the meat and vegetables into slices.
- Cook the rice before heating the oil.
- Cut meat, carrots, and zucchini into thin diagonal slices.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet or wok before adding the slices of meat.
- Stir constantly, for around 3 to 4 minutes, over medium heat until the meat loses its redness.
- Transfer the cooked meat into prepared bowl.
- Add 2 tablespoons of oil and carrots to wok.
- Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add zucchini and cook for additional 3 minutes.
- Stir in meat, brown sugar, and Oriental Stir-Fry Mix.
- Cook and stir until the mixture thickens a bit.
