#9 Sigourney Weaver

Starting with her breakout role in Alien in 1979, Weaver has had a productive Hollywood career, with roles ranging from that spine-tingling effort to her comedic role in Ghostbusters. The 1986 file Aliens brought her first Oscar nomination, and in 1988, she was even nominated for two awards (best actress in Gorillas in the Mist, and best supporting actress in Working Girl). She was the first actor in history to be nominated for two awards in a year and not win either of them.
