Every year the Oscars generate as much controversy as excitement.  As the names of nominees get mentioned sometimes you could swear that your ears are playing tricks on you. Almost all the time it is not your ears that have a problem; it will be the academy itself getting off the rails. Then there are some great actors, who have never in their lives received an academy even when we think that they should receive one every year.

Additionally, there are many actors that walked away with the cake leaving us surprised if the awards are a mockery. Talking about actors who have received Oscars that have left our jaws dropped down right to the floor seven names come to the mind.

When the winning actress herself calls the film that gave her the Oscar a piece of obscenity that she would never waste her time watching, then all of us must begin to wonder what is happening. Elizabeth Taylor even went on to say that she had no desire to watch the very film that gave her the Oscar. If Taylor had no desire to watch a film that the academy says she did so well on then it says more about the academy than about Elizabeth Taylor herself.
