#4 Bananarama
Now let’s bring some girls from the 80’s era!
Bananarama were an all-girl trio band composed of Karen Woodward, Sarah Dalin and Siobhan Fahey. Known for their upbeat harmonies and unison way of singing, these lovely ladies from England captured the hearts of pop lovers around the globe. In fact, they still hold the title of having the most number of chart entries around the world as seen at the Guinness Book of World Records!
Known for their novelty hits like ‘Venus’, ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘I Heard The Rumor’ among others, the group became recognized as pop icons of the 80’s. Siobhan Fahey left the group in 1988 due to personal differences with the band and she was replaced by Jacquie O’ Sullivan for three years. Today, Karen and Sarah are still performing in gigs as a duo.
