In 2013 we said goodbye to famous celebrities – actors, political leaders, writers, singers and journalists. These stars left us in a variety of different ways and all left their mark on many of us in one way or another. So let’s honour the memory of ten of the most famous people that left us in 2013, in order of their passing…
#1 – Hugo Chávez
Chávez was the political leader and icon of Venezuala from 1999 until his untimely death on 5th March 2013, aged just 58. In the early noughties he launched “Socialism for the 21st Century,” using the country’s vast oil wealth to solidify his social programming plans, which made him a hero with the country’s long-ignored poor, but a resource-squandering villain in the eyes of the upper classes.
