When you start trying for a baby, it’s natural to want to make things happen as soon as possible. The good news is that, according to the NHS, nine out of ten couples get pregnant within the first year of trying. In order to make things go quickly and smoothly, there are a few things you can do. Here are six tips for getting pregnant in the quickest, healthiest way possible.
#1 – Take Care of Yourself

Women who are hoping to conceive can improve their chances in a number of ways. One of the most important things to do is relax. Stress can impede your chances of conceiving and make the entire process less enjoyable. Take your time, take up yoga or meditation, and de-stress as much as possible.
There are also a few ways to take care of your physical health, therefore improving chances of conception. Visit your doctor for a checkup and make sure you’re in the best possible shape. Try a healthier diet, and start taking folic acid and other vitamins. Above all, cut back on alcohol and quit smoking. Booze and cigarettes can affect your chances of conceiving, and if you drink and smoke right up until you find out you’re pregnant it will be that much harder to quit when it’s vitally important. The cigarette ban should also apply to the baby’s father: smoking lowers the quality of sperm, making it harder to conceive.
