#2 – Failure to Judge Another Persons’s Path or Speed
Failing to judge other driver or rider’s path or speed is a common cause or swerves and collissions at junctions, crossroads and roundabouts and is often related to the third party speeding or driving innapropriately for the road conditions. While this is a common cause of accidents in all demographics of drivers, it tends to be relatively common in older drivers and pedestrians. Reducing speed and staying alert would help to reduce these types of accident, even of the other drivers/riders are speeding.
Failing to judge another person’s path or speed account for around 19% of all road traffic accidents and nearly 12% of fatalities.
