#9 – Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)
Repetitive strain injury (RSI) is a workplace injury is that is built up over time from carrying out repetitive movements every day over long periods of time and accounts for thousands of days off sick each year. Common taks that cause RSI include typing and using the computer all day, which strain muscles and tendons causing back pain, vision problems and carpal tunnel syndrome. Awareness and the use of proper ergonomic equipment can help keep RSI incidents to a minimum.
