#6 – Game of Thrones
Based on a phenomenally successful fantasy series by George R. R. Martin, this HBO drama has been a runaway hit since 2011. It features blood, gore, war, incest, sex (lots of sex), dragons, torture, and much more.
Over the years it has become accepted wisdom among fans that if you have an episode saved for later viewing, you need to avoid the internet if you don’t want it to be ruined for you. This is particularly true for episodes like The Rains of Castamere, which was broadcast in 2013: lot of characters died, and fans blanketing Twitter with grief left a lot of disgruntled people crying “spoiler!” far, far too late. The internet may love this show, but you won’t love the internet if you’re trying to catch up.
