#5 – Lundy Island
Lundy Island is located off the coast of North Devon. Measuring only three and a half miles long and half a mile wide – the island is a tranquil and unspoilt haven, full of interesting wildlife and flora. Many people visit just for the day, but if you’re looking to stay a little longer to get away from the hub of city life, there are a range of interesting places to stay – including a 13th century castle, a lighthouse and a late Georgian gentleman’s villa. With no cars, and no televisions or radios in the accommodation, this is truly a place to escape to and appreciate the simplicity of life.
