#3 Super Bowl XLII Giants 17, Patriots 14
The Patriots were going into the Super Bowl with a perfect record of 18-0 in the hopes to make NFL history to complete the perfect season when they came up against a heavy underdog the New York Giants. This game was pretty much a snooze fest until the 4th quarter began. Eli Manning had put the Giants up 10-7 until Tom Brady connected with Randy Moss with 2:42 left in the game to give the Patriots the lead 14-10. The Patriots appeared to have the perfect season in sight until Eli Manning hooked up with David Tyree who utilized his helmet for a huge gain. Then Manning connected with Plexico Burress for the game winning TD with 35 secs left crashing the Patriots hopes of the perfect season.
