#6 – Heckler and Koch G3

The G3 was first introduced in West Germany in the 1950s although it traces its origins to the final years of WWII. Though not adopted by the German army, it nevertheless became a NATO staple and has been used in almost every major war that Western European countries have fought. More recently it has made its way into the hands of militias though it’s usage is relatively small when compared to the AK-47.
