#9 – Bananas are the Best Source of Potassium

If you ask someone to name one food that contains more potassium than a banana, you probably won’t get an answer. Unfortunately, bananas have been marketed in such a way that made us believe that it is the best source of potassium on Earth. Consuming a lot of potassium will lower your chances of getting a heart disease. However, you would have to eat 17 bananas a day in order to keep your potassium levels looking good. You should know that spinach contains almost twice as much potassium than a banana, while dried apricots contain more than three times the potassium. Some other good sources of potassium are mushrooms, avocados, salmon, and baked potatoes.
