#3 Acesulfame-K

Acesulfame K is often blended with other artificial sweeteners such as sucralose or aspartame and is often found in sugar-free drinks, gelatin desserts, breakfast cereals and sugar-free chewing gum.
It may come as no surprise that Acesulfame K has been deemed safe by the major food and drug administrations around the world. However, there has been less research done on this food additive than there has been on the other common sweetener Aspartame and further research in terms of food safety has been recommended by peer-reviewed journals such as Environmental Health Perspectives.
We recommend you avoid products with this curious ingredient, or at least very much limit your intake.
