#1 – Tomatoes and Broccoli
Broccoli and tomatoes is a very powerful food combination that was discovered not too long ago. This discovery showed that the combination is able to help prevent prostate cancer. However, no one has still figured out why. John W. Erdman, a Professor of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition of the University of Illinois, managed to prove that the combination of tomatoes and broccoli shrunk the cancer in rats so much that nothing except an extreme castration could be a more effective treatment. These two vegetables are both known for their ability to reduce the growth of tumors, but somehow, when they are combined, they are even more effective in doing that.
