#2 – Yoga
Yoga helps beat anxiety in several ways. First, it forces attention to the breath. Taking long, even breaths signals to the brain that it is okay to relax. It also brings attention to parts of the body that may be tense, such as the back and shoulders, and encourages relaxation throughout the body. Additionally, yoga releases GABA ( gamma-aminobutyric acid), a neurotransmitter that may reduce anxiety.
