#4 – Dairy Foods Are Good For You
Dairy foods are simply foods that are made from the milk of mamals, such as cows and goats, as well as eggs (this post is concerned with milk based dairy products) and humans are the only species that continue to drink milk after we have been weaned as babies. We’re told that children must drink their glass of milk or eat their cheese slice every day to get their recommended daily calcium levels, which will help develop strong bones and teeth.
The reality is that milk / lactose intolerance is one of the most common food intolerances, which can cause indigestion, headaches, acne and excess mucus production. In the west, many people simply over consume dairy foods e.g. milk on cereals and tea / coffee, cheese in sandwiches and butter on toast. This can cause inflammatory problems in a person’s gastrointestinal tracts, which has been linked to arthritis, crohn’s disease, diabetes and even cancer in more extreme cases.
If you are eating a lot of dairy foods, gradually reduce the amounts from your diet and you are sure to see an overall improvement in your health.
