#10 – Flaxseed
Flaxseed (sometimes known as linseed) is a great source of protein, healthy Omega-3 fats, and fiber. These small seeds don’t take up much room in your stomach, but they help to suppress your appetite. According to a Danish study published in “Appetite” proved that subjects who were given 2.5 grams of flaxseed fiber supplements, felt much fuller and ate less.
The hard shells on flaxseeds are difficult to digest, so they will need to be ground up in order to get full benefits. You can easily add them to your yogurt or morning smoothie, or even sprinkle it on salad for a bit of nutty flavor and texture.
