#1 – HTC One

We’ve finally reached the top of our list, so it’s time to meet the champion. Taiwanese company HTC introduced their 2013 flagship smartphone in March 2013, and it wasn’t long before critics start calling it the best smartphone of 2013. It features a similar hardware found in the Samsung’s Galaxy S4 – a 1.7 GHZ quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage. It is not the best hardware your money can buy, but it’s pretty close and more than enough for nearly every user.
Taking design cues from Apple, the Taiwanese company made sure to create a beautiful design and set the standard for Android phones. The whole casing consists of aluminum, which makes it feel really luxurious in your hand. While some critics argued over HTC’s decision to include a 4-megapixel camera, most experts agreed that it’s just as effective as a regular 8 or 13 MP camera. In case you love Apple-esque design, but enjoy an Android experience over iOS – there is no better option than the HTC One.
