#6 – Gene Moe Grizzly Bear Attack

In 1999, Gene Moe was skinning the buck he had just shot in the Alaskan wild when a grizzly came up behind him and took a bite of his shoulder. With little time to react, Moe began to fight off the grizzly with his knife as his only weapon. The bear managed to get in a bite of Moe’s leg before Moe cut the bear’s throat. The bear backed off, circling around for a second showdown, giving Moe time for a quick prayer before literally going in for the last punch. His arm numb for punching and chunks missing from his shoulder and leg, Moe still managed to shoot the bear and get down from the mountain where he was hunting.
