Dogs require daily walks. They expect to go to parks or play fetch in the back yard and when they don’t exercise, they can destroy a house with all of their energy. Cats, however, do not require any exercise – in fact, just walking from their favorite napping spot to the food dish can be considered strenuous exercise for a cat (unless they’re chasing mice!).

In other words, cats are more independent.
