Employing around 100,000 people worldwide, Apple are the biggest company in the world in terms of market value, at $700 billion.

Interesting fact: co-founder Ronald Wayne sold his 10% stake in Apple in 1976 for just $800. Those shares today would be worth around $70 billion.  And you thought you were having a bad day!
