#3 – Reduces Air Pollution

Hemp is, over-all, one of the best crops for the environment as it requires neither pesticides or fertilizers. It also absorbs carbon dioxide – including that which it would release if it was burned as fuel. As a leafy plant, hemp produces a large amount of oxygen. Between the reduced need for pesticides, the increased oxygen, and reduced carbon dioxide, hemp significantly improves air quality when grown as a main crop.
