#4 – Marie Curie (1867 – 1934)

Marie Skłodowska-Curie was a Polish-French physicist and chemist, in both of which she won Nobel Prizes. She is mostly known for her research on radioactivity and techniques for isolating radioactive isotopes. She also discovered the two elements polonium and radium. She was the first to use those radioactive isotopes for the treatment of neoplasms.
