#9 – Bloodcurdling Protruding Bone
Kevin Ware was playing for Louisville against Duke in a basketball game on 31st March this year when he landed awkwardly. His leg broke in two places and his upper leg bone was poking 6 inches out of his skin, for all the world to see! He was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery and expects to be back within a year. When lying on the court waiting to be taken to hospital, he was reported to have repeatedly said to his teammates, ‘I’m fine, just win the game.’ Now that’s dedication to the cause!
