#5 – Processed Alternatives
If you become a vegan for your health, the worst possible thing you can do is head to the frozen section of your grocery store and pick up all the processed, packaged, fake meat products. The goal should be to eat nutrient dense foods. Eating frozen soy chicken nuggets is no better for your health than eating an organic piece of chicken from a local farm. Rather than putting egg shaped chemicals into your body, just eat a hormone free egg. Oreos and potato chips are vegan as well, but slapping that animal-product-free label on them doesn’t make them any healthier.
