#2 – Energy Foods

Most of us tend to reach for something sugary and sweet when we feel low in energy. However, these foods may pep you up for a few minutes, but you will end up feeling low again very quickly.
The solution: Go for snacks rich in protein and complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates are digested slowly and when you combine these with protein, your blood glucose levels will increase slowly but steadily. This means that you will be able to sustain your high energy levels for a long time. Try whole-wheat bread with peanut butter to get your healthy energy-boosting snack.
