 We couldn’t talk about the importance of wedding themes without mentioning cake toppers. You can have so much fun choosing a topper that says something about the two of you as a couple. Try landmarks from your favorite city, or toppers that look like your pets. Gamers or comic-book lovers can use toppers in the shape of their favorite characters (you can find anything online).

And, oh yes, cake toppers can still be people. If it’s a military wedding, dress them in the appropriate uniform. If it’s vintage, order retro oldies toppers online.

Not a fan of cake toppers? Your options are still many. Summer cakes are lovely crowned with fresh, local berries, and flower petals look lovely year-round. And remember: You don’t have to have only three tiers. Go as high as you want – it’s your day!
