#4 – Animal Dander
Household pets such as cats and dogs are popular with many people all over the world. They spend a lot of time indoors with humans and tend to lick themselves quite a bit. Most people think that allergic reactions are caused by their fur. This is not the case. These animals secrete a protein which is found in their saliva and skin that can cause allergic reactions to some people. Their urine also has substances that some people are allergic to. The allergies may take up to two years or more to develop and may not subside immediately after ending contact with the animal. They include sneezing, coughing, runny nose and watery eyes. If your pet sleeps on the couch, your bed or the carpet and is causing you to have allergic reactions, you will be forced to wash him regularly and vacuum clean the house daily.
