#5 – Gandhi was a Walking Enthusiast
Gandhi considered walking as the prince of exercises and loved walking. He imbibed the habit of walking as a young boy and used to walk eight to ten miles every day while studying law in London. While it was a daily habit for Gandhi, it came as a surprise to the world when he, along with many other Indian freedom fighters, walked 241 miles from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi. Popularly known as the Salt March or Dandi March, he was 60 years old at that time.
