#2 – Ian Poulter
Ian Poulter has started 42 Majors and won 0. Despite this fact he thought it wise to declare himself as the worlds second greatest golfer only behind Tiger Woods in an interview with a golf magazine.
Poulter said: ‘The trouble is, I don’t rate anyone else. Don’t get me wrong, I respect everyone who is a professional, but the problem is I know I haven’t played to my full potential yet. And when that happens it will just be me and Tiger.’
As news of the quote surfaced at the tournament in Dubai it was easy to see it had riled some of the golfers on tour. Not Tiger though who responded to a question about the gap between himself and world rankings No.2 Phil Mickelson. ‘I thought Poulter was No.2?’
