#8 Use Complementary Textures
When you have a smooth dish, add something crunchy, and vice versa. The contrasting textures make any dish more interesting. For example, if you have a crunchy salad, you could add some smooth and creamy goat cheese. If you have a smooth bowl of guacamole, topping it with some crunchy pepitas can add interest.
