#7 – CIA Assassinations
In 1975, a government committee led by Senator Frank Church exposed numerous cases where CIA was directly or indirectly involved in assassinations of foreign dignitaries and citizens. As it was determined by the committee, CIA assassinated a number of people in South America and Middle East, making it look like accidents. Among the names of targets are people such as Chilean President Salvador Allende and Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh. Although it became public, this CIA affair remained unsanctioned mainly because the media never extensively reported on the matter.
