#3 – I Am Legend
In the billionth retelling of Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend, Will Smith plays Robert Neville, a scientist and one of the last people on earth after a virus wipes out most of society and turns them into monsters. He spends the majority of the movie trying to find a cure for the virus, and, in a change from the book, manages to create one by mixing the virus with his own blood. However, this is scientifically inaccurate—in order to create a vaccine with his blood, he would have to have contracted the virus (in the same way you’re only immune to the flu by getting injected with the dead virus). In reality, all he would have accomplished was turning himself into a monster.
