#4 – John F. Kennedy Assassination
Friday, November 22, 1963 was probably the most confusing day in American history before the 9/11 attacks, being the day when U.S. president John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, during a Presidential Motorcade towards the center square of the city.
Even if the main suspect, Lee Harvey Oswald, had been found and arrested only 70 minutes after the shooting, he was two days later killed live, on television broadcast, by Jack Ruby, who said that he would spare “…Mrs. Kennedy the discomfiture of coming back to trial.”
Still, even if evidence has proved that Oswald was responsible for Kennedy’s death, there are rumors that say the entire story was planned by unknown group or groups of terrorists and that Jack Ruby killed Oswald in order to silence him, and not for the well-being of the First Lady.
It continues to remain a mystery why anyone would want J.F. Kennedy dead, but until these days he remains a landmark in American history.
