#6 – She Was Given a Gold Record By the Recording Industry
Queen Elizabeth II is the only member of the royal family to have received a gold record from the music recording industry. The Party at the Palace was a concert held at Buckingham Palace in London in 2002. 12,000 people attended this concert, while a million people watched it outside of the palace, and over 200 million on their TV sets. A live CD recording was later released in Queen’s name, and it went on to sell over 100,000 copies in the UK alone.
