#8 – Rubber Band on a Tin of Paint
How many times have you dipped a brush in a tin of paint and dabbed the brush on the side of the tin to remove excess paint, only to make a right mess of the top of the tin? Invariably, paint ends up on your fingers when you put the lid back on and then molds on to the tin, so that next time you want to open the tin, it’s virtually ‘glued’ on. Well, the solution is to take a good quality elastic band and wrap it around the tin as shown above and voila – no more messy tin tops.
N.B. please don’t twang the rubber band!
