#6 – Walking Into Things
Usually the result of carelessness, this type of accident involves the unwitting victim walking into an unmovable object such as a closed door, wall, desk or table often resulting in relatively minor injuries to the head, knee, neck and feet (how many times have you stubbed your toe on a desk?). In more extreme cases, concussion can occur and this can be especialy dangerous if the person falls and hits their head as they’re falling. These accidents can largely be avoided when an employer is diligent in keeping the workplace tidy… and just perhaps by ensuring that staff are not overworked so that their alertness and awareness is compromised!
