Originally called the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company, IBM manufactures and markets computer hardware and software, and offers infrastructure, hosting and consulting services in areas ranging from mainframe computers to nanotechnology.
Other interesting facts about IBM? They are credited with investing many things from the electronic typewriter and ATM, to the floppy disk and hard disk drive, as well as Deep Blue – the first computer that beat a chess Grandmaster!
