Over the past few years, the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree has turned into a live event broadcasted by NBC. The superb tree is typically a Norway spruce with an average height of 30 meters. The tradition has been going on since 1933, and it’s certainly an event meant to instill the Christmas spirit into the hearts of the American people. As of 2007, the tree only uses LED lighting and the decorations are without a doubt staggering.
