#10 – “Go ahead, make my day.” – Clint Eastwood, Sudden Impact (1983)
Here’s another Callahan classic, worded as he points his Smith and Wesson directly at the head of the last remaining of a group of robbers who tried to hold up a diner. He’s wiped out the rest of them and, with this line, he calmly and coolly invites the feckless crim to even dare to pull the trigger of the gun he’s holding to an innocent waitress’s head. As it turns out, he doesn’t make Callahan’s day and bottles it, surrendering, and in the process avoiding getting his head blown off by the cool, collected cop.
