#8 – “I Wish I Had Been a Better Spouse, Parent or Child”
It is often only during retirement and old age where people truly reflect on their family life and those who are nearest and dearest. While we’ve all probably been through the awkward teenager phase and let the stresses of life affect our family relationships from time to time, it is sad that so many old people have deep regrets when it comes to their relationships with family members.
Don’t lose perspective when the inevitable stresses and strains of life come along – you don’t have to put on a brave face all the time. Share your feelings and involve those nearest and dearest to you and you will find the support will help you to move forward, rather than alienate yourself.
