#2 – Energy Bars
The way these products are often advertised, leads to believe that they are a great addition to a healthy diet. But, some of those energy or protein bars are more similar to candy bars, because of their high amount of hydrogenated oils (trans-fats), saturated fats, artificial aromas and sugars. To avoid taking in too many calories and unhealthy ingredients, one should always read carefully the nutrition labels and choose the better, more natural products. A good way to go is also eating home-made bars, where the ingredients can be individually chosen to create the ideal bar.
