#2 – Memory Loss & Diminished Ability to Learn
Myth: Cannabis leads to long-term memory loss and diminishes the ability to learn new things.
Truth: While consuming cannabis, the psychoactive elements may cause the loss of short-term memory, but even so, studies have shown that it affects the memory less than consuming alcohol. On the long-term, there are no proofs that cannabis consumption could lead to any difficulties in learning new things or in forgetting anything learned or experienced prior to consumption.
