#2 – Margaret Thatcher
Baroness Thatcher, LG OM PC FRS (née Roberts, 13 October 1925 – 8 April 2013) is one of the most famous and iconic British prime ministers of the 20th century. Serving from 1979 – 1990 for the Conservative Party, her uncompromising politics and leadership style divided opinion like few other prime ministers before or after.
Riding on the then recently exploited North Sea Oil wealth, she was responsible for promoting deregulation, privatisation of state-owned companies and reducing the power of trade unions. Oh and she led Britain through the Falklands War in 1982. Quite a formidable woman.
