#4 – Sony Xperia Z1

Sony’s latest flagship smartphone is a step up from the Xperia Z, which was considered by analysts as a product that brought the Japanese company to the big boys league.  The Sony Xperia Z1 was released in September 2013, only six months after the original version of the phone hit the market. It features a new metal casing and much better internals including a more powerful processor and an amazing 21-megapixel camera. It probably has the best camera on our list, apart from the Nokia Lumia 1020. Nonetheless, the Sony Xperia Z1 is a very powerful handset that has two unique features as well – it’s water and dust resistant!
