#4 Practice Your Knife Skills
Knife skills are a basic function in the kitchen that you need to use over and over again. You must be able to cut ingredients into different sizes and shapes, and to do it reliably and efficiently. If your slices have varying thicknesses, they will not cook evenly. Work on proper technique first, then you will find your speed increasing, too.
