#8 – Shoebill (Balaeniceps rex)
This awkward looking bird is considered a member of the stork family, although lately some experts categorize it under the pelican species. The Shoebills live in the tropical eastern part of Africa, in the large swamps that range from Sudan to Zambia. Its feathers are blue-grey and it feeds mostly on fish he finds in the swamps.
