To stay healthy, it is important to have a strong immune system. It is the defensive barrier between hundreds of deadly diseases and our body. However, poor and sedentary lifestyles that many follow today severely compromise the immune system and a weak immune system can not only make one fall sick often, it can also lead to more serious disorders like heart problems, diabetes and even cancer.
You can do many things to boost your immune system, such as make small changes to foods you eat, and adopt good habits to protect yourself from dangerous health conditions.

However, a 10-minute brisk walk every day or 20-30 minutes of mild to moderate physical activity is good enough to bolster the immune system. It gets white blood cells and antibodies, which are the two main components of our immune system, to move through our body faster and fight infections. Also, exercise triggers release of certain hormones that warn the immune system of intruding pathogens.
