#5 – Crunchy Multigrain French Toast

Multi-grain bread is of high value and tasty, especially when preparing it as a variation of the famous French toast. Here is the simple recipe:
- 2 cups of corn flakes
- 3 eggs
- 1½ cup low fat milk
- 8 slices of multi-grain bread
- 1 teaspoon butter
- some vanilla essence
- fresh fruit of your choice
- maple syrup or honey
Preheat your oven 200°C. Process the corn flakes until fine and put aside. Whisk the eggs with the milk in a bowl and add the vanilla powder. Put two pieces of bread in the egg mix and let them soak for 2-3 min. Put the butter in a small backing tray and let it melt in the oven. In the meantime cover both sides of the bread slices with the crushed corn flakes. Put the slices in the tray and bake for 2-3 minutes on each side and serve with syrup and fruit. Just delicious!
